As part of Network Rail’s ongoing improvement initiatives, Westlin was tasked with structural repairs and parapet renewals on McPherson’s overbridge by Story Scotland.
The renewal project encompassed the demolition of existing parapets, replaced with precast concrete L-shaped units, alongside repairs to the bridge. The project involved the installation of safety barriers and in-situ concrete for the main bridge deck, ensuring work was completed within a 54-hour disruptive possession.
The successful completion of McPherson’s Bridge Renewal stands as a testament to Westlin’s dedication to maintaining critical infrastructure, ensuring safety, and enhancing the reliability of railway services.
